Actor, Singer, and Golfer Nick Jonas Launches a Collaboration with PXG

Nick Jonas is a renaissance man. While the world knows him as an actor, pop star, trendsetter, and one half of an international power couple, very few know him as a golfer.

“I’ve been an avid golfer for fifteen years,” Jonas said. The game offers him a chance to escape the chaos of his daily life and, as he put it, provides a “humbling and satisfying adventure.”

Given his passion for the sport, a collaboration with PXG, a leader in the luxury activewear industry with a focus on golf apparel and accessories, seemed natural.

“With any venture, it is all about being best in class,” Jonas said. “And certainly, PXG has been that for so many years now. My hope is that this collaboration adds to their growing legacy.”

Jonas first met PXG founder Bob Parsons after joining the Parsons’ exclusive golf club, Scottsdale National. His relationship with Parsons and wife Renee—the President and Executive Creator of PXG Apparel—blossomed on the green. After many rounds of 18 holes, the possibility for a joint venture wasn’t a question, it was inevitable.

Renee Parsons described the months of working with Jonas to create the capsule collection as a “very authentic” process. “He wanted to create golf apparel and accessories that deliver true style that doesn’t sacrifice technical and performance driven design, she says. “He knew that’s what we do at PXG and wanted to put his own spin on it.”

The resulting collection, which will be available starting next month on PXG’s website and in their stores, features 15 garments and nine accessories. The pieces—including shirts, jackets, pants, slides, and socks—all channel a casual ease. In keeping with PXG’s typical colors, the palette is primarily gray, black, and white. However, the tailoring adds a twist that is both fresh and nostalgic.

“James Bond was a big inspiration,” Jonas noted. “Combining functionality with classic silhouettes was very important.”

Such an icon makes sense, as Bond certainly sported a combination of black-tie and sports attire. The black polo shirts evoke 007 actor Daniel Craig’s rugged looks in Casino Royale, while the knitted styles hearken back to the days of Sean Connery. The PXG x NJ collection provides a movie star elegance, on and off the course.
