Anthony Rizzo has re-signed with the New York Yankees on a multi-year deal after rejecting a qualifying offer, according to a report.
Rizzo was one of a number of huge names heading into a star-studded free agency market, with his 2023 team yet to be decided.
News broke that the 33-year-old had rejected a qualifying offer from the Yankees Tuesday but later agreed a new two-year deal, according to Ken Rosenthal.
The deal is for 2 years, $34 million with a club option for $17m for a third year and the buyout in the third year is for $6m, according to YES’s Jack Curry.
