In Brooklyn on November 21, the supermodel stuck to her failsafe combination and wore loose trousers, a hoodie and Converse, with a roomy leather jacket thrown over the top and a brushed leather Prada Cleo bag on her shoulder. She stayed true to her go-to off-duty hairstyle and swept her hair back into a neat bun.
Gigi’s oversized leather jacket is similar to those sported constantly by supermodels in the 1990s and Noughties. Cindy Crawford, in particular, became synonymous with leather jackets, which she regularly wore with acid-wash jeans and other low-key basics.
Styles like Cindy’s are making a comeback for autumn. Rihanna and Hailey Bieber (among others) have made worn-in leather a seasonal staple, and on the fall 2022 catwalks, leather jackets were seen across the board at Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu and Saint Laurent.
