Chris Eubank Jr is so confident that he will beat Conor Benn on Saturday night that he can’t even fathom anyone seeing it any other way.
In the early 1990’s, Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank Sr engaged in an epic duo of fights that saw them written into the history books as British boxing legends – and now their sons will continue their legacy, as they clash at the O2 Arena in London.

As per the terms agreed for the fight, both men will be meeting in the middle with weight, as Benn will come up 10lbs, while Eubank Jr will have to drop 3 lbs to make the agreed catchweight of 157lbs.
Eubank Jr has consistently stated ahead of the fight that due to the weight cut he will only be able to fight at 60 per cent of his usual ability.
Despite this Eubank Jr insists this will be more than enough to defeat Benn and he can’t believe that anyone would think ‘The Destroyer’ could beat him.
“This is a mismatch,” Eubank Jr told IFL TV. “This is gonna be a public execution.
“It’s incredible because respected people in the boxing industry are giving this kid a shot, more than that they’re saying he’s gonna beat me.
“It’s incredible, it really, really is. Does that bother me? I don’t know, it’s incredible.
“I know what’s going to happen, I can see what he is compared to what I am, so I know how far apart we are in terms of ability, but there are people out there who genuinely believe this kid is going to knock me out.
“I’m flabbergasted when I hear these things.”
Eubank Jr has also been seemingly ‘trolling’ Benn in the build-up regarding the weight cut, as he has repeatedly posted on social media eating decadent meals including, KFC, burgers and even steak, just days out from the weigh-in.
With that being said, Eubank Jr denies this has been ‘trolling’, as he said: “I eat every day and sometimes I choose to share with my adoring fans and my adoring haters what I’m eating.
“I don’t think that’s trolling or mind games, it’s just me.”
