Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s Halloween Costumes: An Exclusive Closer Look

Barbie, eat your heart out.” That’s what the murderous doll Tiffany tells her fellow killer doll Chucky in the 1998 slasher film, Bride of Chucky—and it could certainly be said of Kourtney Kardashian’s Halloween look today. For the holiday, she and husband Travis Barker dressed up as the notoriously evil duo, and Vogue has a closer look at what went into their custom couples costume.

Paying homage to Tiffany’s iconic bridal gown, motorcycle jacket, and combat boots, Kardashian wanted to get the movie character’s edgy fashion sense right. “Kourtney loves Halloween,” Dani Michelle, Kardashian’s stylist, tells Vogue. “We wanted to re-create the look to the best of our ability.” To do so, Kardashian and Michelle had a custom-made gown by the bridal label Amsale; The late designer Amsale Aberra founded the brand back in 1985, and she was the first Black female designer to be accepted into the CFDA. Known for their simplicity, Amsale was the perfect brand to bring the sleek, strapless design to life. “It’s so fun to honor a character, and Amsale brought the dress to life so seamlessly,” says Michelle.
