Let’s talk about Netflix’s ‘Sex Education’ — and all the bad info we got as teens
“Sex Education,” which is among Netflix’s most popular series in the United States, ponders that question. The show, now in its third season and picked up for a fourth, follows Otis Milburn (played by Asa Butterfield), a dorky teenager at a Welsh high school, as he opens a secret clinic where he and his crush Maeve Wiley (Emma Mackey) advise their classmates on how to perform in the bedroom and avoid being a total jerk when it comes to affairs of the heart. Otis and his friends are exploring their sexualities and trying to figure out where they fit in, all while tussling with their parents, friends and teachers. Along the way, the teenagers fall for one another; break up and make up; show up for one another when their parents don’t; stand up to teachers and overthink everything.
