Manchester United are close to agreement with Ajax over an £84miion deal for winger Antony.
The Brazil international has been one of manager Erik ten Hag’s main priorities this transfer window, and, after weeks of negotiations the two clubs are close to coming to an agreement.
Anthony has made his desire to leave Ajax known, and the Dutch side are finally willing to part ways with the 22-year-old despite manager Alfred Schreuder making it clear he wanted to keep his star man.

Talks are accelerating after Ajax softened their stance following a board meeting yesterday.
United saw a £76m bid rejected on Friday and the Dutch champions had said the 22-year old was not for sale.
However with Antony pleading for the chance to leave, Ajax have now decided to let him go as United increase their offer to the desired £84million price tag.
United insist the deal is not yet done but negotiations are progressing well and there is a confidence agreement will be reached over the next 24 hours.

Antony has been training alone at the Ajax, sitting out of games as the side begin their new season.
He scored in their second game against FC Groningen, but has since missed matches against Sparta Rotterdam and Utrecht.
In total, he has scored 21 goals in 74 games for the club since joining from Sao Paulo.
Schreuder had said: ‘I am assuming that the club will not sell Antony as we’re in good financial position. I told the board that I want him to stay here.’
But the transfer now looks likely, with the winger set to become United’s fifth signing of the summer window.
