Nicki Minaj performs an epic medley of her hits after Lizzo and Fergie hit the stage at the MTV VMAs


Nicki Minaj performed a medley of her greatest hits, including her tracks Super Bass and Anaconda, while rocking her signature pink wig at the MTV Video Music Awards held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Before receiving the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award on Sunday night, the 39-year-old rapper her inner Barbie in a sexy pink ensemble, consisting of a bejeweled long sleeve, an ombré skater skirt and bow in her hair.

The Queen of Rap, whose legendary rap career has spanned more than a decade, pleased fans on stage as she flawlessly crooned some of her biggest tracks, including Roman’s Revenge, Super Bass, Beez in the Trap, Chun‐Li and Moment 4 Life.

After rapping All Things Go, the audience went wild as she sang her verse of Kanye West’s Monster. 

As the audience roared in applause, and celebrity attendees like Taylor Swift danced in the crowd, she concluded her memorable act by pole dancing and singing Super Freaky Girl, alongside her backup dancers in harnesses.

Minaj, who scored 17 VMA nominations and taken home 5, went on to accept the highest honor of the night and delivered a moving speech, in which she thanked artists from Lil Wayne and Madonna to Mariah Carey for the ‘huge opportunities’ they gave her.

The 2022 MTV Video Music Awards are being held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

The 39-year-old rap megastar will be presented with the highly-coveted trophy that is given to recording artists for outstanding contributions and profound impact on music video and popular culture.

As for the regular awards, there is a three-way tie for most nominations between Lil Nas X, Kendrick Lamar, and Jack Harlow.

The three hip-hop acts are followed closely by Doja Cat and Harry Styles who received six nods each.

There is quite the field among those nominated for five awards as that list includes: Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd.
