Ascot and Haydock host massive meetings this weekend on Saturday with a host of graded and top-class contests featuring some of the top-rated jump horses.
talkSPORT have gone through the races, form, cards and more so you don’t have to, with betting tips across the meetings.

Haydock racing tips
1.50: Hitman 4/7
Despite the short price still becomes a great addition to any multiples considering his superior form and ratings in comparison to his other rivals.
Hitman is also entered in Ascot’s Chanelle Pharma 1965 Chase but could prefer the Haydock test with Harry Cobden on board.
The odds-on favourite is also on his second run since his wind surgery and given his decent second place a Grade 2 at Aintree in October.
2.25: Good Risk At All 6/1 & Wholestone 25/1
Wholestone looks massively overpriced for this considering a decent place effort behind Good Risk At All last time and back over a preferable 3m trip could spur another winning run.
The 11-year-old’s last win came over course and distance on heavy ground in the Grade 2 Rendlesham Hurdle and can’t be discounted on that basis and warrants each-way backing at least.
Beating Wholestone last time out was Good Risk At All who takes on the Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained horse with Sam Twiston-Davies on board at 6/1.
The Sam Thomas-trained six-year-old is stepping up in trip for the first time to 3m and considering his win at Carlisle it really should suit.
3.00: A Plus Tard 4/7
Another favourite that’s surely got the field on rating alone, and has been eagerly awaited for a return since winning the Gold Cup at Cheltenham Festival with ease.
Goes off a rating of 180 under Rachael Blackmore for trainer Henry De Bromhead and this is a race you will not want to miss.
Ascot racing tips
12.55: Arizona Cardinal 13/8
This Oakman Racing Club horse steps up in class after his win at Bangor in late October.
He was carrying top-weight that day and defied that on chase debut at 5/1.
Now up in class he’s only carrying 10-13 thanks to Quel Destin, one of two Paul Nicholls entries who is the clear top-rated horse but comes into this off a gigantic break.
Arizona Cardinal has a few more boosts to claims to win this – claiming jockey Finn Lambert (7lbs), Stuart Edmunds’ horses are running to form and he’s now running for the second time since a wind op, meaning there could be even more improvement coming for the six-year-old.
2.05: L’Homme Presse 4/7
Another Cheltenham Festival winner returns to the jumps this weekend and it’s the Venetia Williams-trained L’Homme Presse who’s another odds-on favourite on return.
Hitman is also entered into this as mentioned above but will face a much tougher task coming up against the Charlie Deutsch boarded horse.
His latest loss came when Ahoy Senor overturned that loss at Cheltenham at Aintree, but perhaps that run came too soon and now fresher can return to winning ways – as he did five straight times last season.
2.40: Constitution Hill 2/7
There’s yet another odds-on favourite that can’t be ignored and that’s Constitution Hill trained by the in-form Nicky Henderson.
He bolted up at 9/4 odds last time out beating Jonbon by 22 lengths which is no mean feat.
Jumped in the ratings by 22lb as a result but there’s no doubting his speed – where Nico De Boinville is able to just ask him to quicken up and he goes like a shot.
3.15: Edwardstone 3/1
Ultra consistent chaser at the top level, only missed out on justifying favouritism by a few lengths to Gentleman De Mee at Aintree last time out.
He was a non-runner at Cheltenham last time but comes to Ascot for the first time – a track that should suit him incredibly well.
The multiple grade winner rattled off a five-timer last season all by at least a handful of lengths and is a huge price for this, albeit off top-weight, giving a minimum of 10lb to his eight rivals.
Thyme White at 5/1 for in-form trainer Paul Nicholls is also a great shout to include in the betting, with a forecast paying around 15/1 with Edwardstone first.
He looks like he’s still on the up and that was his first graded win last time out and could be seen to be overpriced for the weekend Class 2 contest.
