Kate and William’s milestone comes after the latest drama over the Duke of Sussex, who quit royal duties last year with Meghan Markle.
Harry revealed yesterday he is penning a tell-all book about his life, with the royals likely to be bracing for fresh revelations when the memoir is released next year.
In a statement, he said: “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.
“I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story – the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned – I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.

Harry’s book comes after his and Meghan’s explosive Oprah Winfrey interview in March, which saw them make a set of explosive claims about the royals.
The Duke of Sussex also made further controversial comments about his family in the following weeks.

Prince Harry has been warned by a royal expert that his new book could be the “worst mistake of his life”.
Writing in The Sun, royal author Ingrid Seward said: “Revealing personal details of such a public royal life as Harry’s cannot be a good idea.
“It may well come back to haunt him, especially if it upsets his grandmother and then he changes his mind about what he has said.
“Diana regretted doing her book so she said. She certainly regretted making millions for everybody else out of her own sad revelations.
“This could be the worst mistake of Harry’s life.”

9.45pm update: Harry making $20million by being ‘horrible to the Royal Family’ with new book
Prince Harry is believed to have been granted $20million in US dollars as an advance payment for his ghostwritten memoir.
Entertainment reporter Peter Ford said: “The speculation is $20million US dollars which is ginormous, it’s incredible and it probably will sell.
“It will certainly generate enormous publicity and talk, but even if it’s only 10 percent of the book is negative, that’s the 10 percent that will become the story and we will jump on.
“It’s horrible for the Royal Family, why does he need to do this?”

Meghan Markle will have a big influence on Prince Harry in writing his memoirs, according to a royal expert.
Angela Levin told talkRADIO: “I am sure Meghan will have quite a strong influence on what Harry writes.
“It very much might be her ideas.

7.50pm update: George could get very special honour on his 8th birthday
Prince George could receive a very special honour on his eighth birthday as Covid restrictions are eased this week.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s eldest son’s birthday this Thursday could be marked with the ringing of the Westminster bells, which is a royal tradition.
The future king missed out on hearing the famous chimes last year as the country grappled with the first wave of the devastating pandemic.
The Central Council of Church Bell Ringers (CCCBR) has released its guidance for bell ringing following England’s easing all Covid Restrictions and bell ringing is now allowed again, with any number of people, in a well ventilated setting.
Westminster Abbey has not yet confirmed whether this will be going ahead on Thursday, but it is said to be following the CCCBR’s guidance.

Prince Harry has been criticised for signing his book deal announcement with his full title, after claiming that his memoirs were not written ‘as the prince’.
Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told Sunrise, “I do love this statement Prince Harry made when he says he is writing this book ‘not as the Prince he was born, but as the man he’s become’ and he’s signed it as Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex.”

6.40pm update: Harry putting Queen in ‘difficult position’ with Lilibet christening ultimatum
Prince Harry has been attacked for putting the Queen in a difficult position with his christening plans.
Royal expert Angela Levin argued that she was frustrated by Harry and Meghan Markle’s christening plans due to the impact on the Queen.
While speaking on TalkRadio with Mike Graham, she said Meghan and Harry were waiting to set a date for their christening as they wanted one where the Queen could attend.
However, Ms Levin argued that the Queen may not have initially been intending to attend.
She added that this put the Queen in a difficult position as the head monarch would not always attend celebrations for those low in the line of for the throne.

The Queen has honoured one of Prince Philip’s aides with a special royal award.
Her Majesty honoured one of her late husband the Duke of Edinburgh’s pages with the Insignia of a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order.
William Henderson received the award from Her Majesty on Sunday.
5.30pm update: Harry ridiculed over plans to pen new royal memoirs
Prince Harry has been brutally mocked over plans to write a new tell-all memoir with a Sky News Australia commentator remarking she would “would rather watch paint dry.”
Australian TV writer Sophie Elsworth told Sky News Australia: “Harry has been on a media rampage ever since he has left the UK.
“He has had podcasts, he had that awful sit-down interview with Oprah and his toxic wife Meghan Markle sitting there with him claiming how racist the royals were.
“And now he is putting out a book complaining about all the issues in his life.

Ms Levin told TalkRADIOL “He wants his own privacy but he doesn’t care about anybody else he can say what he thinks about them.
“I think it is absolutely atrocious, okay he did Oprah, okay he did mental health, okay he allowed this Finding Freedom hagiography to take place.
“But there comes a time when…I don’t understand why he doesn’t want to move on.

Royal author Robert Jobson believes Prince Harry’s memoir will likely “lead to a conflict” due to the issues he will touch upon.
The Duke of Sussex said in a statement he will talk about “the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned” – leading to think he could discuss his difficult childhood and the exit from the Firm.
Mr Jobson told FEMAIL: “As night follows day, this was always going to happen.
“It will become an international bestseller, but at what cost to the monarchy? There will be nowhere to hide.”

The Duke of Sussex announced he is writing a memoir about his life that will be published in late 2022.
Publisher Penguin Random House said yesterday that the “intimate and heartfelt” book will provide a “definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him”.
However, royal expert Robert Jobson launched a furious attack on Harry over reports he will receive £14.5million ($20m) in advance for the memoir, despite still receiving money from his father Charles when he moved to the US.
Clarence House confirmed earlier this year that Harry and Meghan received a “substantial sum” from Charles until last summer.
Mr Jobson wrote on Twitter: “Talk of a $20million advance for Prince Harry’s memoir (with profits going to charity). Will the prince refund his dad the money he gave him to set himself up in America before trashing him in his book I wonder?”

Last night it emerged Prince Harry has signed a deal with Penguin Random House to publish a tell-all memoir about his life.
The book will be an “intimate and heartfelt” account of the events that have shaped him through the years, including his time in the Royal Family, the army and experiences as a husband and father.
But despite a ghostwriter being involved in the work, royal experts are convinced wife Meghan Markle will have had influence over the book’s contents.
Arthur Edwards, the Sun’s royal photographer, said Meghan is usually the one in charge of what the Sussexes release.
He said: “It will be interesting to see if his wife Meghan writes most of this book — as she seems to write everything else he puts out almost on a daily basis.”
Another royal insider agreed, and said: “A book by Harry, as written by Meghan.”

Royal biographer Angela Levin attacked Prince Harry following the announcement of his new memoirs as she blasted the royal for wanting to “destroy” his family.
Angela Levin took aim at Prince Harry and admitted she has adopted a “negative” view of the prince following his attacks on the Royal Family after it was pointed out to her that his upcoming memoir may not target his family as many predict.
Ms Levin said Prince Harry was likely “enjoying” writing and saying these damning things and said he enjoyed revealing “shock after shock”.
